How to Hide Files Inside a Picture with Password !!

There are many software available to protect your important files, for example Truecrypt. But the problem is that when your friends ask you to unlock those encrypted files, you can’t deny. Well, in this article we are going to show you a little trick to hide your personal files inside a picture ! Yes, it is possible, even you can set your desired password to protect those files.

Hiding Files Inside a Picture :

First of all, you need to download Free File Camouflage, it is very small and portable freeware.

Note : Free File Camouflage is completely free, but sometimes a pop-up window may appear asking you for donation when you launch the software. However, you can skip the donation option easily using the Skip button.

  

Now, go ahead and launch the Free File Camouflage and make sure you’re in the Camouflage a file tab.

In the first option (File to hide), select the file which you want to hide.

Note : If you want to hide multiple files, simply add them to zip archive and then select the zipped archive.

 

Similarly, in the second option (Jpeg image), select any picture you want. Your files will be hidden inside the copy of this picture.

And, in the third option (Image file to generate), select the name and the location for the output file.

 

Now enter your desired password and hit the Save button to set the password for your hidden files.

 

Now everything is set, click the Camouflage button to begin the process.

 

Once the tool has processed your file, you’ll be able to view the generated picture.

  

Well, it looks like the normal picture but your files are hidden in it, that’s why the size of that picture is bigger than before.

When your friends open that picture, it will open like a regular image, however, you can access those hidden files behind the image using the Free File Camouflage.

Recovering the Hidden Files from Picture :

Now, if you want to access those files which is hidden inside of a picture, simply launch the Free File Camouflage and navigate to De-camouflage a file tab. There, in the first option, select the picture in which your files are hidden and in second option, select the folder where you want to save those hidden files. If you’ve set password, you need to enter it in order to unlock those hidden files.

When you’re ready, hit the De-Camouflage button.

 

Once that file is processed you can access your original data files from the respective directory.
